Overview

Network for Certification & Conservation of Forests is a not for profit organization established under the Societies Registration Act 1860 to promote credible forest certification in India. It is an institutional mechanism to ensure collaborative & streamlined efforts to develop national standard for Forest Certification in India.

India is among the world’s most forested countries with a growing demand for forest products considering the diversity in the forests, the unsustainable management of forest is a significant challenge for India as a developing country. NCCF through forest certification will not only help in mainstreaming sustainability in management of forests but also in raising awareness among producers and consumers towards the responsible sourcing and purchasing of the forest products.
